pneumonia. Mrs. Alcorn was a daughter of the late Captain Prettyman Jones. She was born March 15, 1871, and was reared and spent her life in the same community. She was a quiet, industrious, homemaker and a member of the Buffalo Valley Presbyterian Church. Surviving Mrs. Alcorn are her husband, a sister, Mrs. Henry Jones, a brother, Bailey Jones, a daughter, Mrs. Tinsley Garner, seven sons, Fred, of Shelbyville; Clayton, Lee and Will, of Detroit; Walter of MA; Thurman and Herman; twenty one grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Funeral was conducted at the home by her parents, J. T. Reed, Saturday afternoon with burial in the family lot nearby.
