He died of erysipelas (a skin disease).
COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Hattie Alcorn Garner, 100, will be held in the chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home Friday, April 13, at 2 p.m. with burial in Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Garner died Wednesday April 11, 1990 at Masters Health Care Center.
A native of Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Josie Jones Alcorn.
Her family includes several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tinsley Garner.
Active pallbearers will be Harold Bartlett, Allen, Fred, Robert, James and Joe Allen Alcorn.
