The Frankfort Times - Thursday, May 10, 1973

Bessie Mae Ploughe, 80, Kirklin Rt. 2, died at 8:30 a.m. today at Clinton County Hospital. She had been ill for about 14 months.

A native of Clinton County, she was born Sept. 30, 1892, the daughter of Samuel and Della V. Parse Douglas. She was married March 11,1911 to Preston A. Ploughe and he survives.

Mrs. Ploughe was a member of Hills Baptist Church and the Sugar Creek Rural Homemakers. She lived all her life in Clinton County.

Survivors include five sons, Preston Wayne and James Norman, both of Scircleville, Ralph D. and Dale M., both of Kirklin and Joseph E. of Logansport; seven daughters, Lois Boone and Mary Walker, both of Sheridan, Mabel Sotzing of Indianapolis, Vera King of Morgantown, Norma Macis of Anaheim, Calif., Margie Ploughe of Kirklin and Dortha Thompson of Frankfort; one sister, Esther Rimp of Nashville, Ind; one brother, Cleo Douglas of Kokomo; 32 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh W. Crandall officiating.

Burial will be in Hills Cemetery.
