Funeral services were held for Henry George Rausenberger at Klasse Funeral Chapel, Westbrook, Minnesota on Tuesday, August 9, 1988. Pastor Jim Anderson officiated at the 10:30 am service.
Pallbearers were Dennis Mischke, Darvin Mischke, John Burmeister, Charles Moon, Brian Mischke, Brad Mischke.
Interment was held in the Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, MN.
Henry George Rausenberger, eldest son of Jake and Emma Rausenberger, was born July 21, 1892 in Rosehill Township. He attended school at District No. 48 in Rosehill Township and he served his country in France for eleven months during World War I.
He farmed in the Rosehill Township area and was in the construction business with Rudolf Yahke for many years.
On June 29, 1935 he married Lynda Lidtke Jahnke. Two daughters came with this marriage.
They retired from farming in 1964 and moved to Arkansas. Lydia passed away in 1970. Henry returned to Minnesota living with his daughter and son-in-law in Sherburn, Minnesota, until February 1, 1979 when he moved to the Westbrook Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Henry passed away at the Veterans Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD on August 6, 1988 at the age of 96.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lydia, two sisters, three brothers, one granddaughter, one great-grand daughter.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Harold and Marlys Mischke, Sherburn, his daughter Marilyn Christensen, Troutdale, Oregon, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ann Lidtke, Stella Jensen, and two brothers, Paul and George Rausenberger all of Westbrook.
