Emma Marie Grams, daughter of Ludwig and Charlotte Grams, was born September 24, 1868 in Chicago, IL. In early infancy she was received into the church through Holy Baptism. She was confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Ulm, April 18, 1886.
In the year 1874 she moved with her parents from Chicago to Minnesota and settled at New Ulm. Here they farmed for fourteen years. When she was about 21 years of age she came with her parents to this community and settled in Rosehill township.
On February 18, 1890, the deceased was united in holy wedlock with Jacob Rausenberger. God blessed this union with 10 children.
They started their married life, as did other pioneers, on a farm in Rosehill.
In the fall of 1948 they moved to their new home in Westbrook. It was August 16, 1949 that the departed lost her helpmate.
