News has been received of the death Thursday of Everett George Shellenberger, a brother of Mrs. Ray (Esther) McInnes of Allen, Kansas, and Ralph Shellenberger, John Shellenberger, and Virgil Shellenberger, all of the Bushong, Kansas, community. Everett Shellenberger, who died in the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, had lived for many years in the Bushong, Kansas, area before moving to Geneseo, Kansas, where he owned and and operated a general store before he retired.

The son of George and Emma Shellenberger, he was born April 7, 1894, in Dunlap, Kansas, and he was married to Chloe Belle Deardorf on May, 21, 1919, in Geneseo, Kansas. Mr. Shellenberger was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and the Presbyterian Church in Geneseo, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died October 6, 1969 and one brother Fred Shellenberger, and he is survived by one daughter Mrs. Darrell (Vivian) Barnes, Denver, Colorado; four brothers, P. L. Shellenberger, Pueblo, Colorado, and Ralph Shellenberger, John Shellenberger, and Virgil Shellenberger of Bushong, Kansas,; one sister, Mrs. McInnes, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral arragements have not been completed.
