Ralph J. Shellenberger

Funeral services for Ralph J. Shellenberger of Bushong, Kansas, who died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, will be held Sunday at 2:30 P.M. at Kendall Funeral Chapel in Council Grove, Kansas, conducted by the Rev. Richard Near.

Burial will be the Agnes City Cemetery, east of Council Grove, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Masonic Lodge 335, AF & AM, or to the American Cancer Society.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday.

Mr. Shellenberger was a farmer and stockman near Bushong, Kansas. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

The son of George and Emma Yahn Shellenberger, Ralph J. Shellenberger was born Dec. 31, 1890, at Dunlap, Kansas. He married Lottie Smith on May 18, 1921, at Emporia, Kansas. Mrs. Shellenberger died in January 1984.

Mr. Shellenberger was a member of the Allen Masonic Lodge. He was a charter member of Morris County Barraks 3432 of the Veterans of World War I at Council Grove, Kansas, and was a member of Ball-McColm Post 5 of the American Legion at Emporia, Kansas.

Mr. Shellenberger is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Letellier of Junction City, Kansas; three sons, Clair Shellenberger and Arthur Shellenberger of Topeka, Kansas, and Bill Shellenberger of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
