Buried in Oak Mound Cemetery on 10 Nov 1984.

Left deaf from meningitis at age 15, while three of his other siblings died from it. Farmed in Kragnes Township. Janitor at Oak Mound School. He was among the first class to be confirmed in the Oak Mound Congregational Church by Rev T. Henry Lewis on 27 Aug 1905. He was active in the Oak Mound Cemetery Association, using his tractor for helping remove and saw trees back in the 1940s.

Lived just north of Oak Mound Church at one time, on the former Earnest Nelson/Christian Gunderson farm. Oscar and Alvina Anderson also lived here at one time. Later lived with brother Eben Olson and his wife Ella in the town of Kragnes. Eventually moved into Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead and always invited his family, friends, and residents of Eventide to his birthday parties each year. He enjoyed creating and solving all kinds of puzzles.

Died at Eventide Lutheran Home at 3:00 a.m. from congestive heart failure due to heart disease.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Olson are certainly sorely stricken. Another boy died on Saturday evening of the malady which has attacked the children, and a little daughter is ill, but with prospects of recovering. But the startling occurrence transpired at noon today: Mr. Olson and one of his older sons came to town this morning, and as they were eating their dinner the boy suddenly collapsed, being taken in exactly the same manner as the other children were taken. The little fellow was taken to the Darrow hospital, as the stricken parents have more than they can attend to at their home. The disease is presumed to be spinal meningitis.
