Ethel Bristow married James E. McAlister on December 17, 1895 in Alva, Oklahoma. Together they had one son.... Later, James E. McAlister died on May 13, 1911 and was buried in Liberal, Kansas. Ethel remarried on July 9, 1913 in Pratt, Kansas to Jordan Critchfield. They are both buried in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort, Indiana.

MRS. ETHEL CRITCHFIELD
FAIRMOUNT -- Mrs. Ethel Critchfield, 86, 515 S. Main St., died at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Marion General Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.
Mrs. Critchfield had been in failing health for four years. She had lived in Fairmount with a son, Charles U. McAlister, for four years.
Before coming to Fairmount, she had lived in Frankfort for 45 years.
She had spent her early married life in Oklahoma Indian territory after traveling there in a covered wagon. Her husband, Jordan Critchfield, died in 1960.
She was a member of East Side Christian Church in Frankfort.
Surviving in addition to the son are three brothers, Seward Bristow, Tipton; John Bristow, Gary; and Dan Bristow, Plymouth; and three sisters, Mrs. George Bogan, Bicknell; Mrs. Carey Daniels, Gary; and Mrs. Vern Evans, Ashtabula, Ohio.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Nolder Memorial Chapel, Fairmount. The Rev. Dan Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
