Seward Bristow married Mamie Hawkins on November 18, 1916 in Tipton, IN. They were the parents of five children. Mamie died in 1951 in Lafayette, IN. She is buried in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort, IN. Seward later married Rosa (Pearson) Jackson on December 3, 1960 in Tipton, IN.

Seward Bristow, 88, 232 Washington St., died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1986, in Tipton County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1898, near Scircleville, a son of Noah and Sarah (Shockley) Bristow.
In November 1916 he married Mamie Inez Hawkins, who died in June 1951. In December 1960 he married Rosa A. Jackson, who died June 23, 1986.
Bristow had lived in McClain County, IL, Lafayette and Tipton. He was retired from the Nickle Plate Railroad where he had worked 49 years. He was a member of West Street Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and American Legion at Tipton. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are two sons; Ralph O. Bristow of Jacksonville, FL., and Harold D. Bristow of Anderson; two daughters, Norma Graham of Elwood and Anita J. Thomas of Monticello; two stepsons; Jack Jackson of Clarks Hill, S.C., and Tod Jackson of New York City; a stepdaughter, Mary Dickover of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren. A son and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Leatherman Morris Funeral Home here. The Rev. Richard Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery at Frankfort. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
