Jennie Ruth Blevins Steele was the daughter of William Hiram "Harm" Blevins and Millie Edith Beene. She was the wife of James Franklin Steele and the mother of three children; Thomas Gary, James Rickey, and Terri Lynn Steele.

OBITUARY: STEVENSON, Alabama - Jennie Ruth Steele, 57 of Stevenson, Alabama died Thursday. She was a supervisor at Shaw Industries in Stevenson and was a member of Stevenson First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Steele. Survivors include a daughter, Terrie Smith; two sons, Tommy and Ricky Steele, all of Stevenson; four sisters, Ann Railey and Bonnie Frame, both of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Eula Stewart, Chattanooga, and Estelle Peoples, Kimball, Tennessee; three brothers, Lonnie, Clayton and Oscar Blevins, all of South Pittsburg; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Sunday in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with th Rev. Carlton Brank officiating. Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rudder Funeral Home, Stevenson.
