Bill's full name was Samuel William Hiram Blevins. He was the son of William Hiram Blevins and Millie Edith Beene; husband of Mattie Christine Henderson; and father of Doris Bernice and Hilda Ann Blevins.

BLEVINS - WILLIAM H. "BILL", 63, of the New Hope community near South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died Sunday in a South Pittsburg hospiat. He was a retired farmer, a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Luther and Leslie Blevins, and John Beene. Survivors include his wife, Mattie H. Blevins, South Pittsburg; two daughters, Doris King, South Pittsburg, and Hilda Oslinger, Bryant, Alabama; five sisters, Mrs. Vince Raley, South Pittsburg, Estelle Peoples, Kimball, Tennessee, Eula Mae Stewart, Chattanooga, Jenny Ruth Steele, Stevenson, Alabama, and Bonnie Frame, South Pittsburg; three brothers, Oscar, Clayton and Lonnie Blevins, all of South Pittsburg; seven grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Tuesday in Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Brown and the Rev. Dennis Eggert officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg.
