OBITUARY:
BLEVINS, JOHN OSCAR, 83, of New Hope, Tennessee, died Thursday in a local hospital. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Blevins; five daughters, Lucille Chapman, Lake Worth, Florida; Katherine June Layne, Bryant, Alabama, Mildred Marie Farias, South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Shirley Ledbetter, Pembroke Pines, Florida, Meritta Ann Frame, Stevenson, Alabama; four sons, James W. and James E. Blevins, Bryant, Alabama, Kenneth L. Blevins, South Pittsburg, Dannie V. Blevins, West Palm Beach, Florida; two brothers, Clayton F. and Lonnie O. Blevins, South Pittsburg; four sisters, Martha Ann Raley, South Pittsburg, Estelle Peoples, Bonnie Lorene Frame, Kimball, Eula Mae Stewart, Chattanooga; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. CDT Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Arvell Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg.
