BLEVINS - LUTHER B., 61, a member of a prominent Marion County family passed away Wednesday evening at his home near South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Surviving, wife, Mrs. Bertha H. Blevins, South Pittsburg; six daughters, Mrs. Louise Payne, Jasper, Tennessee; Mrs. Carroll Easterly, Whitwell, Tennessee; Mrs. Harold Huckabee, Miss Wilma Blevins, Mrs. William C. Powers, Miss Diane Blevins, all of South Pittsburg; eight sons, Houston, Fort Payne, Alabama; Sherman, Guild, Tennessee; Stanley, Chattanooga; Wendell, Johnny, Fred, Doug and Greg, all of South Pittsburg; five sisters, Mrs. Vince Raley and Mrs. Clayton Hookey, both of South Pittsburg; Mrs. H. L. Peoples, Kimball, Tennessee; Mrs. Eula Mae Stewart, Chattanooga; Mrs. James Steele, Stevenson, Alabama; four brothers, Oscar, William H., Clayton and Lonnie Blevins, all of South Pittsburg; 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Pine Grove Baptist Church, near South Pittsburg, at 2 p.m. CDT Friday with the Revs. Ervy Leaman and Leonard Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. The body is at the residence at Route 1, South Pittsburg. Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg, in charge of arrangements.
