HELEN NORRIS

Helen Norris, 73, Skybird Manor, died Sunday at 5 a.m. at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital, having been seriously ill since Tuesday.

Mrs. Norris was born April 5, 1905, in Decatur County, the daughter of Cortez and Anna Stewert Ramer. She was a member of the Burney United Methodist Church, having been a resident of Burney until she moved to Greensbug 10 years ago.

She was married to John W. Norris Dec. 24, 1923, in Decatur County and he preceded her in death July 3, 1976.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Sara) Hime, Burney, Mrs. Jane Stephens, Muscoy, Calif., and Mrs. Robert Dale (Nancy) Owens, Columbus; one son, William E. Norris, R.R.1, Waldron; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Olive Crato, Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Anthony (Ruth) Federie, Batesville and Mrs. Gladys Hiles, Mrs. Dorothy Pennington and Mrs. Edna Kohrman, all of Greensburg; two brothers, Millard Ramer, R.R.2, Greensburg and David Ramer, Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tamara Sue Norris; two brothers, Cortez and Robert Ramer and two sisters, mamie Ethel and Gayle Ramer.

The services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. John Todd officiating and with burial in the Milford Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
