Mrs. Ranier Dies
At Home in Adams
Mrs. Anna Melissa Ramer,
67, wife of Cort Ramer, passed
away at 3 a. m. Sunday at her
home in Adams.
For over a year she had been
in failing health. She had been
seriously ill for eight months.
Born in Switzerland county
on Aug. 28, 1884, she was the
daughter of David G. and Sarah
Irwin Stewart.
In early life she affiliated
with the Kingston Presbyterian
church. Since residing at Adams
she had been an active member
of the Adams Methodist church:
On Aug. 6, 1902, she was
united in marriage to Cort E.
Ramer at Springhill. The couple
resided in Decatur county
throughout their married life.
Besides the husband, Cort E.
Ramer, she is survived by nine
children: Mrs. Olive Johnson,
of Indianapolis: Mrs. J. W. (Helen)
Norris. of Burney, Mrs. Emmett
(Ruth) Fullmer, of Batesville.
Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy)
Hart, of Columbus, Mrs. William
(Gladys) Hiles. Mrs. Bernard
(Edna) Kohrmann and
Millard Ramer. of Greensburg.
David Ramer, of Shelbyville
and Robert Ramer. of Adams;
a sister. Mrs. Florence Ray, of
Greensburg: three brothers, Ed
Stewart, of Milroy. Fred Stewart,
of New Point and V. C.
Stewart, of Chelsea. Okla.: 17
grandchildren. one g r e a t -
granddaughtcr and nine stepgrandchildren.
A sister. Mrs. Eva Buell, preceded
her in death.
Funeral rites will be held at
2 p. m. Tuesday in the Wenning
& Porter funeral home. The
Rev. O. P. Baugh will officiate.
Burial will be made in the
Rossburg cemetery. The body
is at the funeral home, where
friends may call.
