Mrs. Sadie Oller, 55, Dies in Litchfield

Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Viola Oller, 55, wife of Charles Oller, of Litchfield, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Litchfield. The Rev. W. M. Greer of Morrisonville and the Rev. Arthur Sengpiehl, pastor, were in charge and interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield.
Mrs. Oller died Thursday afternoon in St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield. While she had been in ill health for the last six years, death followed a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been a patient in the hospital for a week.
A native of the Donnellson community, Mrs. Oller was born April 8, 1891, a daughter of William Frederick and Clarissa Hittle Weathers. Her parents died when she was four years of age and she was reared in the home of her late grandmother, Mrs. Hittle, near Donnellson. She was united in marriage with Charles Oller at Hillsboro Dec. 27, 1908. After their marriage the couple resided at Raymond and later at Nokomis for six years before moving to Morrisonville. They resided here for 18 years before going to Litchfield four years ago.
Besides her husband she is survived by ten children: Mrs. Edith Skinner, Mrs. Ruth Skinner, Floyd Oller, all of Morrisonville; Mrs. Opal Curtis, Mrs. Geraldine Duncan, Taylorville; Mrs. Betty Rice, Warren Oller of Palmer; Charles E. Oller, Jr. Vern Oller and Barbara Oller, at home. A son, Everett Melvin Oller, serving with the third armored division, was killed Jan. 6, 1945 in the battle of the Belgian bulge.
Casket bearers were George Taylor, Ben Oller, Leroy Bowles, Frank Oller, Paul Skinner and Junior Oller, all nephews of the decedent.
In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Oleva Borkhardt, Mrs. Alvera Lawrence, Mrs. Helen Taylor, Mrs. Ellen Oller, Mrs. Geneva Taylor, Mrs. Eva Horn, Mrs. Ione Bergman, Mrs. Anita Oller, Mrs. Galen Franklin, Mrs. Margaret Fraley and Mrs. Harold Beck.

Age at Death: 55 Years, 9 Months, 22 Days
