Decedent entered the service July 21, 1941, and received training at Louisiana, Virginia, California and Pennsylvania: He was sent overseas 18 months ago and was with Gen. Patton's Third army. He was a member of the 83rd cavalry reconnaissance trooop, Third Division. He was killed January 6, 1945, in the battle of the bulge, Belgium.
Besides the parents he is survived by four brothers and six sisters; Floyd Oller and Mrs. Ruth Skinner of Litchfield; Mrs. Edith Skinner of Morrisonville; Mrs. Geraldine Duncan of Taylorville; Mrs. Opal Curtis of Norfolk, Va.; Pfc. Charles Oller of Dallas, Texas, Pvt. Warren Oller who is overseas; Pvt Vern Oller at an embarkation point; Betty and Barbara Oller at home.
