Dr Edwin E Vander Berg, 67 of 69 West 14th Street, died in Holland Hospital Wednesday evening following a lingering illness.

Dr Vander Berg was born in LaMars, Iowa, and attended Calvin College and the University of Iowa and was graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School. He interned at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and had practiced medicine in Holland for 35 years.

He was a member of the 14th Street Christian Reformed Church where he had served as both Elder and Deacon. He was a member of the Ottawa County Medical Society and had served as an Ottawa County Medical examiner. He also served on the Selective Service Board and had worked at the Hope College Clinic.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; one son Willis of Holland; two daughters, Mrs Floyd (Phyllis) Heerspink of Holland and Mrs. William (Sandra) Elzinga of Simpsonville, Maryland; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Dick E Vander Berg of Sioux Center, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Fed Aue and Mrs. John Gritters, both of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Dan Dykstra of Trousky, MN; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. John Vander Berg and Mrs. Douwe Vander Berge, both of Sioux Center.

Funeral services at the 14th Street Christian Reformed Church, Rev Tenis Van Kooten officiating.
Burial at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
