FUNERAL SERVICES HELD THURSDAY FOR MRS. MARGARET HOUSE

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Margaret House on Thursday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at Our Lady of the Angels Church. A requiem Mass was offered with Father Harold Kost, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery besides her husband.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: J. Peter Meyers, Al J. Meyers, Arnold Jensen, all of Brainerd; Henry Raden, Minneapolis; Wm. Raden, St. Cloud and Alex Heursing, Avon. Mrs. Regine Schmidt was crossbearer.

Honorary pallbearers were neighbors and friends of the deceased: Mrs. John Olson, Mrs. Ben Ostendorf, Mrs. Mike Lenarz, Mrs. Tecia Merten, Mrs. C.F. Botz and Miss Mary Pauly.

Mrs. Margaret House, a resident of Sauk Centre for more than 50 years, passed away at St. Michael's hospital Monday afternoon, February 9, 1959 following a sickness of several months duration.

The deceased was born in Schleid, Germany, October 14, 1873, she had attained the age of 85 years, three months and 26 days. She was a young girl when the family immigrated to America and lived in Avon, Minnesota. Her maiden name was Margaret Raden. She was married to Frank House in the fall of 1897. To this union two children were born: Mrs. Steve Halligan (Gertrude), Blue Earth MN and Edward of Minneapolis. Besides the children, Mrs. House is survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Anna Keppers, Avon, besides a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband passed away in the fall of 1935.

Mrs. House was active in church and Christian Mothers society before her illness confined her to her home. She was a friendly neighbor and had many friends who regret her passing.

Relatives attended from Blue Earth, Fairmont, Mason City IA, Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Cold Spring, Avon, Brainerd, Merrifeld, Ward Springs and Barret, Minnesota.
