From Holland St. John - "Alzina (she went by her second name) was the daughter of Nehemiah and Elmena (Freeman) St John and was born on the family farm on July 27, 1845 near the hamlet of Porter, Rock County, Wisconsin. Their farm was located what is now the city of Janesville, located in the southwest part of the state. She became ill when she was three years old and died on September 3, 1848. As best as can be determined, she was buried in what is now called Wheeler Cemetery. Her younger brother David Barber St John was born just two month before Alzina passed away. Four years later the family moved to Iowa where they established a farm near Arlington, which is located in the northeastern part of the state. Most the members of Alzina's family are interred in cemeteries located in Clayton and Fayette counties."
