Pneumonia Fatal To Benton Earp
Following an illness of several days from pneumonia, Benton Earp died Friday at his home near Houston. He was twenty-two years of age.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Earp, lifelong residents of Chickasaw county.
He was married a few years ago to Miss Allene Griffin, who survives him.
The funeral was conducted Sunday morning at Bethel. Rev. W C Stewart officiating. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the family, as another son, Howard, is desperately ill from pneumonia.
Per the Vital Statistics printed in the Times Post, Houston, Miss., dated April 23, 1936, he is listed as Bennon Earp. Don't know if it is a typo, or if that is the way that it is on the death certificate.
