Alice, one of 7 children, was born to Benjamin and Mattie Earp of Chickasaw county, Mississippi. Alice was married to Leslie William "Buddyson" Hill.
Alice's husband, parents, and all of her siblings; J. S. Earp, Howard Earp, Louis Vaughn, Elizabeth Hollingsworth, Margaret Bullant, and 3 of her children: Clara Bullard (Roy), Bernice Shelton (Bill), and son W. L. Hill; and son-in-laws, Paul Robertson and Jimmydale Whitt preceded her in death.
Alice leaves behind 4 children: Betty Jo Whitt, Glenda Kinney, (Ronnie), Billie Robertson, and Donna Reed (Dennis). She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren who loved her so very, very much.
Alice grew up being a tomboy and always said that she could ride a horse like a cowboy and swims like a duck. She enjoyed time with her children and making dinner for them every Sunday just to keep them close. She enjoyed her church, Southland (Cherokee) Baptist Church, and was involved in all of the activities it provided. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked as a seamstress for many years at Baxter Clothing and Oak Hall Men's Clothing.
Visitation will be from 11:00 - 12:00 PM and Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133. Interment will be held after funeral services at Forest Hill Cemetery - South, 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis, TN 38118
