B F Earp, 87, Dies at Vardaman

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Earp, 87, retired Chickasaw county farmer, who resided on route 2, Woodland, were conducted at 2 pm, Saturday, Feb. 20, from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Barr and the Rev. Frank Childress officiating.

Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Sidney Earp, Jr., Howard Earp, Jimmy Earp, Leon Hollingsworth, W L Hill, Jr., and Steven Bullard.

Mr. Earp died at 10:15 am, Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Vardaman Clinic.

He was born July 1, 1883 the son of Sidney Earp and Annie Tipson Earp. He was a Methodist and had resided in Chickasaw county all of his life.

He is survived by a son, John Sidney Earp, Sr., of Houlka; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Vaughn and Mrs. Margaret Bullard, both of Woodland, Mrs. Elizabeth Hollingsworth of Houston and Mrs. Alice Hill of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Garner of West Point, Miss., and Mrs. Clara Chenault of Fort Worth, Texas. Twenty grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive.
