Born on April 26, 1888, in Garrett County, Md., she was a daughter of the late William A. Robinson and Frances G. (Blocher) Robinson. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. Garlitz, on Jul. 18, 1956; three sons, Elmer L. Garlitz, Gilbert E. Garlitz and Vernard O. Garlitz.
Mrs. Garlitz was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of Emanuel Methodist Church of Frostburg and the WSCS of the church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Pansy L. Wilson, of Vienna, Va.; Mrs. Mildred R. Baker, of Salisbury, Pa., and Mrs. Evelyn M. Winebrenner, of Frostburg; five sons, Esco N. Garlitz, Clearance L. Garlitz, Arvil C. Garlitz and Raymond F. Garlitz, all of Frostburg, and William S. Garlitz, of Hagerstown; 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Durst Funeral Home here where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to a p.m. Services will be conducted there tomorrow at 11 a.m. by Rev. Leonard B. Ranson.
Interment will be in the Blocher Cemetery.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Gordon, Blaine, Dale, Stephen, Blake and Gerald Garlitz.
