Hallie Bucklew, 85, of Good Samaritan Center of Barbour County, formerly of Arthurdale, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1994.

She was born May 1, 1909, daughter of the late Ohley and Anna Holmes Bucklew.

She was a homemaker.

At the time of her death, she was survived by four sons, Richard Bucklew of Irwin, PA, William Bucklew of Arthurdale, James Bucklew of Toledo, OH, and Edward Bucklew of Independence; two daughters, Janet Riley of Lorain, OH, and Joyce Barnicle of Berlin Heights, OH; three stepdaughters, Pat Stubbs of West Union, and Cherie Legerwood and Pam Bucklew of Springfield, OH; five sisters, Louella Franklin of Corona, CA, Edith Phillips of UT, Thelma McMillion of Arthurdale, Helen Rohr of Gladesville and Dolly Turner of Kingwood; three brothers, Foster Bucklew and George Bucklew, both of Independence, and Dalton Bucklew of Morgantown; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Bucklew, Jr.; a daughter, Barbara Jean; two brothers, Noble and Harlan Bucklew; four sisters, Grace Baylor, Marie Chidester, Anna Trickett and Maucelene Lyons; and two grandchildren.

Burial was in the Arthurdale Cemetery.
