She was born on March 23, 1912, in Independence, daughter of the late Ohley and Anna Elizabeth (Holmes) Bucklew.
She is survived by four sisters - Helen Rohr of Independence, Grace Baylor of Newburg, Thelma McMellon of Arthurdale, and Dolly Turner of Kingwood; two brothers, Dalton Bucklew of Morgantown, and George "Bud" Bucklew of Indpendence; and a son and two grandchildren in California.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
A private family memorial service will be held Saturday, July 5, at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
