On July 23, 1923 Clyde Stanbery married Essie Annis Staley, daughter of Jack & Florence (Bailey) Staley. They were married in Van Zandt County where they raised their family. Their first-born was Lloyd "Eugene" Stanbery. Next was Glen "Dwayne" Stanbery who died at the age of four and a half of meningitis. But three years later God blessed Clyde & Essie with another baby boy, Bobby June Stanberry.
