"Death Claims Carrie Maley On Thursday"
Mrs. Carrie B. Maley, 87, of 2826 North B Street died at 5 p.m. Thursday evening in the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Louder (s/b Lowder), after several weeks illness.
Born April 1, 1876, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Rudolph and Louise (s/b Anna) Haman. She was married to Michael Maley in 1896 (s/b 1895). He died in 1936. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include: five children, Mrs. Thelma Louder (Lowder), Mrs. Pansy Alder, Haman Maley, and Ervin Maley, all of Elwood, and Robert Maley of Anderson; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held Saturday morning at Copher and Fesler Home at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Milan Johnson of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Elwood City Cemetery.
The body is at the Copher and may call any time.
