'Succumbs at Home North of Alexandria This Morning After Lingering Illness'
Mike Maley, 68, residing two miles north of Alexandria, died at 5 o'clock this morning of a complication of ailments, after an illness of one year.
The son of Patrick and Rebecca Maley, he was born March 22, 1866, and on March 9, 1895, he was united in marriage to Carrie Haman.
'Leaves Six Children'
Mr. Maley enjoyed a wide circle of friends.
Surviving besides the widow are six children, Herbert, Harmon (s/b Haman)and Erwin (s/b Ervin) Maley, Mrs. Pansy Alder and Mrs. Thelma Lowder, all of Elwood, and Robert, at home; three brothers, William Maley of Elwood; Patrick Maley of Kokomo, and Howard Maley of Columbus, and five sisters, Mrs. Edith Rich, Mrs. Ruth Higgins and Mrs. Martha Miksell, all of New Kensington, Pa.; Mrs. Cora Benbow, of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Mayme Simison of Chesterton.
'Funeral Here Sunday'
The body was removed in the York Memorial Chapel to be prepared for burial.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Elwood Wesleyan Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Charles Waymire in charge, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Robert Kendall. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
