Durango A Mass of the Resurrection will be said for Viola Candelaria, 48, at 10 AM Monday by the Rev John Jaume in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Rosary service will be at 7 pm Sunday in Sacred Heart Church.
Mrs. Candelaria died as a result of an automobile accident. Thursday afternoon. She was born Dec 6 1924 in La Veta, Colorado. The daughter of Chris and Lucianna Naranjo. She came to Durango from Farmington area and had lived in Loma Linda area for about four years.
She is survived by her husband Thomas O. Candelaria, Durango; two sons Orlando T. Candelaria, Farmington and Melvin V. Candelaria, Bloomfield, NM; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Ulibarri, Bloomfield, and Mrs. Joe Gallegos, Colorado Springs and Martha Salazar. Three sisters, Mrs. Fidel Garcia and Mrs. Toby Baca both of Del Norte, Colorado, Mrs. Joe Martinez of Durango and two brothers John Naranjo, Pueblo and Sert Naranjo, Alamosa, sixteen grand children survive her.
