Orlando "Tommy" Candelaria, 67, was lovingly greeted into his heavenly father's arms Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. He passed away of respiratory complications. Tommy was born in Del Norte, Colo., on June 19, 1940, to Orlando and Viola Candelaria.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. While serving in England, he married Janet Greaves and had a son, John Candelaria of New York. After irreconcilable differences, he married Irene Garcia and had two daughters, Rhonda DeVilbiss (Wes) of Farmington, and Doris Johnson (Terence) of California.

Years later, he married Susi Lucero, and has been happily married for the last seven years.

The three things Tommy loved most in life were being surrounded by family and friends, fishing and the Denver Broncos.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. A celebration of life will be at noon Monday, Nov. 26, at College Heights Baptist Church, 2700 Harvard Drive, in Farmington, with Pastor Burson Corley officiating.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post 2182. A reception will follow the interment.

In lieu of flowers, a Wells Fargo account has been created in the name of Orlando "Tommy" Candelaria for contributions. They may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank.
