Thomas Orlando Candelaria

Candelaria died at San Juan Hospital Friday at the age of 55. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Durango with Father James officiating. Burial will be Greenmont Cemetery Durango Colorado. Candelaria was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons; Orlando Candelaria of Farmington NM and Melvin Vernon Candelaria of Bloomfield, three daughters; Mrs. Joe (Loretta) Ulibarri of Bloomfield, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Gallegos of Colorado Springs Colorado, and Martha Salazar of Farmington. Also surviving are two brothers Billy and Manuel Candelaria of San Jose, California, three sisters Lupe of Washington. and Aubrey and Edna Roberts of California. and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Thomas Candelaria of Hanford California. He is survived by 17 grandchildren.

His wife, Viola, preceded him in death in June 1973.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cope Memorial Chapel.
