Mrs. Harriet Hampshire died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Mt. Vernon, where she had been a patient more than two weeks.
Mrs. Hampshire, a resident of St. Louisville, was born Nov. 23, 1862 in the Wilkins Corners vicinity the daughter of Robert and Harriett (Miller) Jones.
She is the last of her immediate family and besides her husband, Eli Hampshire, whom she married 68 years ago, is survived by one son, R.S. Hampshire of Chicago, IL, a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Crawford of St. Louisville, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Law and Son funeral home, and burial will be made in Evans cemetery, Rev. A.C. Berger will conduct the service.
