Mrs. Bertha Mae Crawford, widow of William Crawford, died at 8 a.m. today at Crestview Nursing Home where she had been since May, 1961.
Mrs. Crawford, 83, had been in failing health several years and her condition had been serious a week.
She formerly made her home with her son, Robert S. Crawford of Rt. 4, Newark. Her husband died in 1957.
Born Oct. 23, 1880 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Eli and Harriet Jones Hampshire.
A resident of Licking County 80 years, she was a member of the Long Run EUB Church.
Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Cutter, Newark; Mrs. Ray Burge, Cleveland; a son, Eli W., Sebring Fla; 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert S. Hampshire of Dallas Texas. Two daughters are dead.
