James M.Logan, 84, retired farmer, of Decatur died Saturday in St. Marys hospital. He had been in failing health for sometime, suffering from the infirmities of age. He went to the hospital Jan. 29. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

He ws born in Lancaster, Pa. May 2, 1850. He came to Macon county many years ago. He and Miss Belle Gilbert of Long Creek were married in 1878. She died many years ago. In 1906 he and Nellie Lackey were married in Decatur.

He leaves his wife and one son, George A.Logan, Longmont, Colo. There are 3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also leaves 5 brothers, Hugh, Decatur, Rice, Goodnite, Okla., George, Millersville, Lafayette, Longmont, Colo., J.M.Logan, Eldorado,Kan.

The funeral will be held Monday at Dawson's with burial in Mt.Zion cemetery.
