MALCOLM M. REYNOLDS
Malcolm M. Reynolds was born in Appanoose county, Iowa, Nov. 1, 1855, and departed this life at his home in Russell August 12, 1921, after a short illness with typhoid fever, aged 65 years, 9 months and 11 days.
He was united in marriage to Emma E. Fenton April 6, 1878. To this union five sons were born: Perry, of Carbon; Bert, Elmer and Tom, of near Russell; and Charlie, the youngest son, still at home. All were at their father's bedside when the end came and everything was done that loving hands could do, but our Lord knows best and he was called to his final reward.
Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He leaves, besides the wife and sons, twenty grandchildren, three brothers: Lafayette, of Promise City; Robert, of Chariton; David, of Griffinsville; and a host of friends.
Mr. Reynolds was converted at Bethlehem twenty-one years ago and united with the M. E. church at that place. After moving from his farm south of Russell to his late home, he transferred his membership to the M. E. church in Russell. He was a regular attendant and faithful to his christian duties. He was an honest and industrious man, a kind husband and father and a good neighbor, ever ready to help the less fortunate.
Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Andrew, from the M. E. church in Russell on Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Russell cemetery.
