Thursday, May 11, 1967

REYNOLDS - Tom Clarence Reynolds, son of Malcolm and Emma Reynolds, was born August 2, 1889 in Lucas County, Iowa. He passed away April 28, 1967 at the University Hospital at Iowa City after a prolonged illness at the age of 77 years, four months and five days.

He was united in marriage to Flossie Haner on January 25, 1911. They established their home on a farm south of Russell near Bethlehem, where they lived until they retired and moved to Russell.

Six children were born to this union Wanda Clingman, deceased; Waldo Reynolds of Bettendorf; Mrs. Frank (Wilda) Harger of Newton; Wayne Reynolds of Aurora, Colo.; Mrs. Otis (Wortha) Houston of Keokuk; and Mrs. William (Wreatha) Dunshee of Storm Lake.

He was preceded in death by his wife, mother and father, two brothers, one daughter and one grandson.

He was remarried on May 24, 1963 to Pearl Dyer of Bethlehem.

Mr. Reynolds leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Pearl, five children, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, 10 step-children, two brothers: Perry of Osceola and Burt of Russell and a host of friends.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and was loved by all who knew him.

Memorial services were held at the Woodman Funeral home at Russell on Monday, May 1, 1967 with the Rev. J. C. Hook of the Assembly of God church in Chariton officiating. Interment was in the New York cemetery.
