MRS. EMMA REYNOLDS
Emma Fenton was born on June 7, 1862 in Appanoose County, Iowa and departed this life at her home in Russell, Iowa July 10, 1946 aged 84 years, 1 month and 3 days. On April 6th, 1878 she was united in marriage to Malcolm Reynolds who preceded her in death August 12, 1924.
Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds were the parents of five sons, Perry of Vilisca, Iowa, Bert, Elmer and Thomas Reynolds of Russell, and Chas. of Centerville.
In early life she bacame a Christian and united in membership with the Bethlehem Methodist Church. Transferring her membership to the Methodist Church in Russell on October 17, 1909. Of this church she was a useful and active member at the time of her death.
She was ever true and faithful to her Christian profession and passed away in full and radiant hope of an eternal life.
Besides her five sons she leaves to mourn her departure 23 grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, two brothers, Chas. Fenton of Centerville and Ed Fenton of Plano, two sisters, Hattie McKinley of Russell and Dora Collins of Redmond, Oregon. Her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Reynolds was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends who loved her for her many sterling qualities of life.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church in Russell, where she had long worshiped, on Sunday July 14, 1946, conducted by the Rev. James A. Worrell. A large company of friends and relatives were present to pay their tribute of respect to the memory of this good woman. Interment was made in the Russell cemetery.
