IVEY - Ben Sr., 74, of 423 Hight St. died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was a retired painter and a member of Painters Union Local 226. He was of the Church of God faith. Survivors include a son, Ben Ivey Jr., Chattanooga; two daughters, Margaret Mears of Pikeville, TN, and Mrs. C.W. Frances Sharp, Macon, GA. brother Roy Ivey, Lupton City, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Eugene Turner Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Agee officiating. Burial will be in Cofer Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today at Turner Funeral Home.
