WARD DUCKWORTH
Ward Duckworth, 86, of Chariton died of cancer Monday at Lucas County Health Center there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Chariton, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery there.
Mr. Duckworth was born in Chariton and had lived in Lucas County most of his life. He also had lived in the Omaha area 10 years. He had been a farmer and a carpenter and enjoyed camping, crafts and being active in his church.
He is survived by his wife, Wyoma; a son, Alan, and a daughter, Sharel Jurgens, both of Chariton; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorial contributions bay be made to the family.
