Rosie Lang, 85, resident of Fort Towson, Okla. Passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas
Rosie Lang was a lifetime resident of Fort Towson, Okla. She was born June 15, 1916 in Fort Towson to Albert Easterwood and Nora (Dunn) Easterwood. She married Albert Reed Lang on September 3, 1934 in Fort Towson. Rosie attended Fort Towson School and was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Towson. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Rosie will be remembered for her warm heart, giving nature, and unwavering love and devotion for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reed Lang on April 17, 1947' one son, Albert Lee Lang in 1996; one brother and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include four daughters, Ruthie Mae Cosby, Ruby Lee Maynard, Helen Ann Smith, all of Fort Towson and Bettie Marie Chappell of Spencerville; one brother Bill Easterwood of Fort Towson; two sisters, Alpha Adams of Carthage, Texas and Helen Latham of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2001.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday , September 14, 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Fort Towson with Rev. Dale Tarp assisted by Bill Latham officiating. Interment will be in the Fort Towson Cemetery.
Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo, Okla. in charge of arrangements.
