WARREN--Sherman N. Brown, 73, Rt. 1, Warren, died at 11 p.m. Friday at his home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Grant County, but had lived in Jefferson Twonship, Huntington County since 1916.
Mr. Brown was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ, Warren.
Survivors include the widow, Lelah; five sons, Floyd, Rt. 1, Warren, Dale, Warren, Don, Rt. 6, Huntington, Von, Rt. 7, Huntington, and Keith, Andrews; three daughters, Mrs. Eldon Wall, Rt. 1, Warren, Mrs. Loy Eppard, Rt. 3, Warren, and Miss Betty Jean Brown, Muncie; one brother, Mahlon Brown, Bluffton; one sister, Mrs. Gail Roe, Fort Wayne, 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Rev. William Weaver will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, Warren. Burial will be in the Van Buren Masonic Cemetery, Van Buren.

Mr. Brown was born in Grant County to Charles and Clara (Love) Brown July 23, 1892 and married Lelah J. Camplin May 5, 1916. He was a farmer by occupation and a member of the Church of Christ at Warren.
Surviving besides the widow are: three daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Mildred) Wall and Mrs. Loy (Martha) Eppard, both of rural Warren, and Miss Betty Jean Brown of Muncie; five sons, Floyd Brown and Dale Brown of Warren; Don Brown and Von Brown both of rural Huntington, and Keith Brown of Andrews; one sister, Mrs. Gail (Nettie) Roe of Fort Wayne; one brother, Mahlon Brown of Bluffton; 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild. One son, Ernest Brown, is deceased.
Friends may call at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren, after 7 p.m. Saturday until the body is removed to the Church of Christ in Warren at noon Monday. Funeral services will be held in the church at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. William Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Van Buren.
