Death came to Howard L. Brown, forty-one, of Jefferson township, on his wedding anniversary. Mr. Brown died Monday morning at 12:05 o'clock at his home southeast of Mt. Etna after a week's illness of influenza, which finally developed into pneumonia.
Mrs. Brown also lies dangerously ill at the home of the same disease. Surviving besides the wife are: Two sons, Charles Richard, and Harry Dean; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, of Warren; two brothers, Sherman Brown, of Jefferson township, and Mahlon Brown, of Bluffton, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Darrow, of Fort Wayne.
Mr. Brown was born September 27, 1890 in Van Buren township, Grant county, to Charles and Clara Brown. He married Celia Roberts, February 15, 1913.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Mt. Etna Methodist Episcopal church. The Rev. Harmon Decker will officiate. Burial will be at Van Buren.

Mr. Brown was born September 27, 1890, in Van Buren twonship, Grant county to Charles and Clara Brown. He married Celia Roberts February 15, 1913. Surviving are the parents, the widow and two sons, Charles Richard and Harry Dean Brown.
Two brothers and a sister also survive. The brothers are Sherman Brown of Jefferson township, and Mahlon Brown of Bluffton. The sister is Mrs. Nellie Darrow, Fort Wayne.
