SHELLBURN L. HONEY

Shellburn L. Honey, was born in Maries Co., Mo., Apr. 7, 1863, and died May 4, aged 72 years, one month and three days.
He was married to Ellen Tibatha Woods in 1884; she preceded him in death Feb. 14, 1930. To this union were born ten children, six girls and four boys; they are Zura Pryor, of Kansas City, Mo.; Frank Honey, Indianapolis, Ind.; John Honey, Stoutland, Mo.; Dora Cook, Arga, Okla.; Josie Hugley, Los Angeles, Cal.; Les Honey, Indianapolis, Ind.; Clyde Honey, Kansas City, Mo.; Jessie Hurt, Pratt, Kan.; Jewel Mosier, Indianapolis, Ind. and Illa Honey who died in childhood. Two brothers survive, John Honey, of Stoutland, Mo. and Lonzo Honey, of La Habra, Cal. A host of friends and relatives mourn his death. He was a kind and loving father, charitable, always ready to help in time of need. He loved to attend church and help support the word of God and his cause. In the last days he sang songs of praise and was not afraid to die. He taught his children to obey the word of God.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Stoutland Baptist Church, Rev. Harry Zumwalt conducted the service.
