In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Simpson and Diana Gillenwater; one great-grandson, Zachary Duhl; two sisters, Blanche Kanouse and Virginia Bittner; and two brothers, James and Talmar McCormick.
She was joined in marriage on October 21, 1947 to Frank Salyers, who survives. She was a founder member of Trippieville Baptist Church.
Also surviving are four daughters, Virginia (Louis) Burch, Kathy (Kenneth) White, Angela (Douglas) Duhl, and Melissa (Thomas) Faught, all of Jackson; one son, James (Rita) Salyers; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; five sisters, Anis Stewart of Indiana, Peggy McCormick of Jackson, Darlene Barbee of Chillicothe, Ruth Leach of Oak Hill, and Arlene Music of Chillicothe; one brother, Charles McCormick of Jackson; several nieces and nephews, and special family friend, Jennifer Blackburn.
Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home Wednesday, March 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Trippieville Baptist Church on Thursday, March 11, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery.
