d/o John A. Weir and Laura McElyea Weir;

When Mary B. Weir was born on November 1, 1903, in Alabama, her father, John, was 46 and her mother, John's second wife Laura, was 22. John's first wife Nancy had given him five children before her death in 1900. Mary's mother Laura had been a servant in the home of John and Nancy and when Nancy died, Laura helped John with the children from his first marriage and eventually married him. They had two children, Mary had siblings from her father's first marriage, Clarence Edward, Sidney Leonard, Tula and Augustus Theordore, better known as Guss T. and a younger sister Edna Earl. There was one other sibling Delia who died in 1900, possibly the reason for Nancy's death.
Mary lived with her parents in the 1910 Limestone County, Alabama census, her father, John A, 53, farmed the land while Laura 37 took care of the house. John's oldest son Clarence Edward has left the home and now Sidney 22 was the oldest at home, Tula was 19, Guss 16. Then little Mary who was only 6. On October 10, 1930 Mary's dad, John Allen was at his brother, William Hoffman Weir's sided as he lay dying. When he passed John Allen left the home to go inform the other family members of his beloved brother's death when he fell dead from a heart attack. It was known that Mary's father and her Uncle William were very devoted to each other and both died within 45 minutes of each other. They were buried in the same cemetery on the same day.

Her husband Aaron married Mary Morris after her death and when she died in 1978 he buried her in the same area of the cemetery as he had buried his other wife Mary Weir. When he passed away in 1990 he was laid to rest between his two Mary's and there was one headstone with all three names on it, Mary Weir on the left, and Mary Morris on the right with Aaron Brackeen in the middle....
