Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Smyrna Church of Christ and where the funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday. Tim Lavender will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Mary Brackeen; two husbands, Neil Allen and Riley Clark Blair.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Suzy) Allen of MA, Emillie (Ray) Cassidy of OH, Pamelia Blair of Lavergne, Pat (Charles) Parker of Lavergne, Wayne (Carrie) Blair of Smyrna, Dennis (Angie) Blair of Smyrna, Jimmy (Tere) Blair of Lavergne and Virginia (James) Haralson of Smyrna; 13 grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of the Smyrna Church of Christ. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers..


Laura Louise Brackeen was born on July 2, 1929, in Alabama, the only child of Aaron Alfred and Mary B. Weir Brackeen.
In 1930 Laura Louise, only 8 months old is counted in her first US census, her father, Aaron is 28, her mom Mary is 25 and they lived in the Pleasant Grove community of Limestone County, Alabama. Louise's father Aaron is a teacher in the public schools.
In 1940 the Brackeen's live on County Section Road in the Shoalford community of Limestone County, Alabama where Laura Louise's dad Aaron is 37 and now is a Principal and her mom Mary 36 is a teacher in the public schools. Their Laura Louise is 10 years old and living with them and a housekeeper in a private home is Mary's mom Laura whom Laura Louise is named after and is now a widow and 66 years old. Laura Louise's granddad, John Allen Weir had passed away in 1930 when she was just a baby, never getting to know her grandpa.
She married her first husband, Neil Allen, on February 5, 1949, in Madison, Alabama. In 1958 the US City Directories for Nashville, Tennessee finds Laura Louise B Allen and her husband Neil living at 2705 Brightwood Ave where Neil is an underwriter for the National Life and Accident Ins Company and in 1959 and 1960 the city directory finds them living at 1027 Battlefield Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. In both directories Neil is an underwriter for National Life & Accident Ins. Company. Laura Louise is listed as Louise. On July 1, 1977 Louise's husband Neil died of cancer and she buried him in Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
On January 16, 1982, she married her second husband, Riley Clark Blair, in Williamson, Tennessee. She buried Riley Clark Blair in December 2000. She was the mother of several children, two were with Neil. She died on May 30, 2009, in La Vergne, Tennessee, at the age of 79.
