DEATH SUMMONS PIONEER MOTHER

Mrs. Lucy Goodrich, another old-timer of Vale, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. M. Richardson, in Payette on Monday. Her death resulted from a heart attack which followed paralysis. She had been ill for several weeks.

Funeral services were held from the Nelson Chapel with the Rev. H. Jackson Perry in attendance and burial was made in the family plot at Vale.

Mrs. Goodrich was born at Palmyra, Utah, January 22, 1852, while her parents were on their way to California after the gold stike. She was married in Colusa County, California, in 1869 to L. W. Goodrich. In 1890 they moved to Vale where they engaged in hotel business for many years. Her husband and son died and were buried here years ago.
