Clarence W Schuler, a native of State Center and a former manager of the State Center Farmers Cooperative Creamery, was found dead at his home here last Saturday morning.

Clarence William Schuler was born March 1, 1906 at State Center, the son of William and Caroline Richerodt Schuler. He was baptized and confirmed a member of St Paul Lutheran church. He attended the local public schools and was graduated from the State Center high school with the class of 1926.

After attending and graduating from the Cedar Rapids Business College, he accepted a position with the Merchants National Bank at Cedar Rapids. In February 1929 he returned to State Center to be employed as cashier for the State Center Farmers Coop Creamery Association. He served in this capacity until November of 1943 when he was named manager of the local creamery, a position he held until July of this year.

He was married to Miss Gladys Day of Earlham August 22, 1932.

He is survived by his son James Day, four sisters, Mildred Schuler, Mrs Kenneth Loney, Mrs Hazel Greiner and Mrs George Buck. Also surviving are two brothers, William and Arnold Schuler.
